The Twinzer

This 8'0" big fish was Inspired by the designs of legendary Rich Pavel, who I was lucky enough to meet and receive some shaping guidance from when he produced a run of custom boards out of Ryan Lovelace's shaping bays in downtown SB.

 

Rich Pavel shaped under the creator of the fish, Steve Lis, and has produced many beautiful iterations of this classic template in all manner of fin configurations. While shaping this board I obsessively scoured the internet for reference and input on proper placement of the twinzer fin template.

 

This board was shaped in cruiser-density polyurethane foam, with 6oz volan glass all-around. The fins are hand foiled from marine-grade plywood of the Okoume tree.
